New Cut...

New Cut
As my Snapchat followers know, I got a pretty bad haircut a few months ago. It looked kind of like a mullet. It was so bad that I nearly cried. And I'm not very emotional about my hair.

So I decided to go and get it fixed up at the hair salon. I'm not totally in love with the new style (I'd prefer it a bit longer), but I really like the bangs!

Bangs!

Sorry about the mirror selfie!

As you can see, I'm still trying to figure out how to curl/style the fringe. Any tips for getting bangs to sit nicely?!

Now I'm going to grow my hair out for a very, very, very long time.

Have you ever had a disastrous haircut?

  1. I recommend a straightener for your bangs. Just run it through to get rid of the flip and they'll lay nicely. :) Sorry about your bad haircut! I like the new one!

    1. Thank you for the tip, Monica! I'll have to give that a try. :)

  2. When I had a bob, I used an electric curling brush. I would spritz water onto the ends and bangs and then shape and dry them with the curling brush. (Conair Hot Sticks Instant Heat Big Curl and Volume Hot Brush on Amazon!) This is fast and easy and gives your hair the smooth shaped look like in the pictures.

    1. I've wondered if a curling brush works well! I'll have to check out the Conair one you mentioned. :)

  3. I can't give you any tips on curly/wavy hair since mine is straight as can be. I use a flat iron on mine to make it smooth. Imo, the shorter bob suits your face better than the longer cuts you've worn in the past. It's certainly easier to take care of with two little ones underfoot!

    1. Thank you! Mine is super straight as well. I actually find short hair harder to take care of - I haven't had it much in the past, so it's hard for me to figure out how to style it! :( Maybe I'll get the hang of it...
